Usually by this point in April, the idea of snow in the forecast is laughable; however, Mother Nature is having the last laugh. For most of the US Midwest and Northeast, abruptly cooler spring temperatures will not only bring record low temperatures, they will also produce snow.

For example, parts of Michigan experienced upwards of 12 inches of snow last night, while other areas in Pennsylvania and Maryland received a few inches. Some parts of the Dakotas had temperatures below 20F.

Much of the same is forecasted through the beginning of next week.
